In 2010, QBE Riverfire will be staged as part of Brisbane Festival's opening extravaganza on Saturday 4 September.

QBE Riverfire promises to be noisy and colourful and unite hundreds of thousands of people in celebration with music and fireworks in Brisbane's city centre and reverberating out to suburban streets, parks and backyards.

The party will burst into life well before the sun goes down with people arriving early to claim the best vantage points around the Brisbane River. Then from 7pm, feet will be tapping along to 104.5 Triple M's pumping soundtrack and those at home can catch all the explosive vision in Channel Nine's live broadcast from 6.30pm.

It is very much the city's idea of a good time!
